SHARING PREGNANCY
taking care of your partner throughout pregnancy
labour and childbirth
Childcare starts from conception and for those involved in pregnancy and childbirth it is a great privilege to share in such a momentous family event. As such this can include and encourage the far more useful participation of the father-to be. Who better than a loving partner to provide relief from muscular strain and emotional stress and give continuity of care throughout pregnancy and support during labour and childbirth.
To support the midwife and doula/active birth teacher in providing physical support for their partner in upright gravity assisted positions throughout labour and birth to make this experience as easy as possible for both mother and child.

Soft Postnatal Yoga for Mothers,
Babies and Young Children from
Crawling to Five Years and Beyond
An enjoyable two day certificated course for health professionals and children’s centre staff during which you will ‘soft stretch’ your body and learn how to teach mothers and children to do the same from standing to adulthood.
FOR BABIES AND CHILDREN
Following Developmental Baby Massage and not yet being subjected to the same emotional and physical trauma’s of adulthood the baby’s body will remain flexible and supple. Once on their feet and mobile, in lifting and carrying their weight through space the baby then becomes a weight lifter. Like all weight weightlifters the baby will now start to lose flexibility as they gain strength. The only way to avoid this is to continue to encourage the child to exercise a full range of movement.
This course shows how to do this from standing to the age of seven and beyond.
For the baby retaining flexibility and suppleness in childhood is far easier than trying to regain flexibility and suppleness as an adult.
A perfect follow on course to Developmental Baby Massage.
For mothers
Throughout pregnancy and following birth carrying and lifting the increasing weight of a baby the mother also becomes a weight lifter. This can increase strength and stamina provided her posture is balanced and the mother’s body does not have any prior pain and stiffness. Everyday lifting and carrying an ever increasing weight can have dire consequences in repeating a wrong pattern of movement over and over again. Only movement will restore movement and this certificated course over two days shows the easiest possible ways to restore movement and relieve pain and stiffness. Common sense techniques that should be common knowledge to all families to restore flexibility and suppleness to the major joints and governing muscle groups and create more ease of movement and a more balanced healthier posture.
